Head of Marketing

Our Head of Marketing will be responsible for our Pieter Pot DTC growth. You are the chief expert when it comes to; branding & marketing strategy, translating consumer insights into brand growth and campaigning using those inputs to grow revenue via DTC channels.

Where are we at right now?

Pieter Pot is a fast growing scale-up with a sustainable mission to make waste free shopping available for all. We started this business in 2019 to end the enormous amounts of waste in the supply chain behind our daily needs of groceries.

We are an online supermarket with a unique supply chain and operation, run by a very ambitious, innovative and committed team, who are dedicated to growing Pieter Pot and making a positive impact. We started in the Netherlands, where we have an office in Rotterdam, and are expanding geographically to North-West Europe.

In this role, you will be responsible for setting marketing strategy, leading campaign planning, guiding performance and optimization, telling the full performance story, and facilitating marketing project management. You will combine strategic thinking with executional excellence to develop cross-functional programs that accelerate our growth, working with your team on PR & Partnerships, Community & Content, Brand management & Campaigns. You will also closely work with colleagues from our growth, data and creative teams. You will apply your channel-level expertise to drive efficient scale, rolling up your sleeves to amplify existing channels and test new ones. You have an international mindset to extend growth in other European countries.

Besides all this, you are a coach and mentor to your marketing teams and make sure they have all they need to flourish and accelerate their performance.

This is what you’ll do

  • Leading and developing an (future international) marketing team;
  • Brand strategy, including evolution visual identity and sharpen positioning;
  • New product development (pack and label designs is part of New Packaging Design);
  • Campaign strategy including “fit for platform” communication;
  • Channel strategy in cooperation with XYZ;
  • Brand launch abroad;
  • Member of the daily leadership team;
  • Opportunity to work Hybride (2 or 3 days at the office and rest from home).

What do you take in your jar?

  • You have gained several years of experience as a senior/lead/head of in your field of expertise; consumer marketing preferably in a fast-growing environment;
  • Result-driven mindset with an analytical approach in drawing conclusions;
  • Team player and a strong stakeholder manager;
  • Self-starter and able to work independently;
  • A great communicator and presenter. You are able to translate data into meaningful action points;
  • Experience in a dynamic, high-growth business or in similar projects is welcome;
  • Interest in sustainability, circular economy & consumer behaviour.
