To facilitate the participation of more Mission Allies in Tony’s Open Chain, we offer a range of chocolate processing options to choose from. These chocolate processors, referred to as processors, invest in establishing fully segregated cocoa supply chains. This enables them to handle and process the segregated cocoa beans, cocoa mass, and cocoa butter of Tony’s Open Chain.

Your role at Tony’s

We are looking for a new Sales Manager (Acquisition Manager) to join our Tony’s Open Chain based in either our London or Amsterdam office! In this role, your #1 goal will be to propel business growth by establishing new international clients and expanding relationships with our current clients, known as mission allies. As the Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and expanding the B2B business for one of the most groundbreaking and innovative companies in the chocolate industry.

Tony’s Open Chain, as the leading ethical sourcing company in the cocoa sector, strives to inspire and invite other chocolate companies to join us in the fight against inequality. In your capacity as an Acquisition Manager, your focus will be on propelling TOC’s growth by cultivating relationships with additional mission allies. Success in this role will be gauged by the achievement of year-on-year growth targets, particularly the increase in bean volumes sourced through TOC. This growth will be achieved through the acquisition of new mission allies and the strategic expansion of business with existing mission allies.

As the primary point of contact for all mission allies under your purview, you will proactively engage with them to maintain a meaningful connection in true Tony’s fashion. Regular updates on our latest impact insights and evolving pricing strategies will ensure that our mission allies are well-informed. Additionally, you will seize every opportunity to encourage volume growth by introducing an expanded TOC product range, which may involve incorporating additional brands or diversifying product categories.

This role reports directly to the Sales Lead Open Chain and has not direct reports. If you are passionate about making a difference, driving growth, and reshaping the cocoa industry, this opportunity is tailor-made for you!

Here is what you will do:

  • Drive B2B sales to achieve our rapid growth aspirations and make a significant contribution to driving issue and brand awareness.
  • Respond to inbound opportunities and collaborate with team members to do the same.
  • Collaborate with the Tony’s market teams to leverage our existing corporate network and drive growth.
  • Identify growth opportunities and ensure the TOC team is meeting revenue targets by acquiring new clients.
  • Generate and pursue client leads to identify new partners who will champion our brand and mission.
  • Act as a Tony’s advocate in promoting our brand and mission to ensure we support the mission and reach our goals.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience in managing and driving growth with a portfolio of global B2B clients within the FMCG industry.
  • Proven track record of acquiring new clients through different sales strategy.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, international business partners and clients.
  • Nice to have is a comprehensive understanding of the flow of beans within the supply chain while also cultivating the ability to empathize with the buyer’s perspective and grasp their unique insights into their own supply chain.
  • Bonus points, if you speak fluently either German or Dutch
  • You can make your way to either our Amsterdam or London office on a weekly basis, we encourage more in-person collaboration and less remote work.
